Our IT team consists of Head of Technical Support, Marcus, IT Support Technicians Danny, Chris and Fran, and IT Support Working Student, Luis. We spoke with Marcus who told us all about team growth, current challenges and their passion for technology!

Very varied! From replacing a mouse to replacing global networks. Our priority is ensuring that we keep the company's network running. Our focus is then on making sure everyone has everything they need to do their job as well as possible. We’re growing rapidly, so it’s important that technology isn’t a blocker for this.

We are currently upgrading our core infrastructure. A challenge of fast growing startups is constantly bolting on equipment to resolve problems quickly. It was time to take stock and build something very solid for the future that could grow with us.
With our growth comes the need to find seats for people. We have a lot of ongoing office build projects. We are creating great spaces for people to work and use the latest technology for our global offices to communicate.

The variation and prioritisation. There are a lot of exciting projects to work on, but we always have to keep a focus on our customers and the GetYourGuide team. Making sure that we deliver the small things that makes everyone's job easier is critical. We have to balance this with focusing on delivering large projects which is key to the business.

Like every other department in GetYourGuide … customer focus. If we focus on delivering the best customer experience to our internal customers, they are in turn enabled to give the best service to our GetYourGuide customers.
