What exactly do you do at GetYourGuide?
In my job as a Software Engineer, I develop creative solutions to complex problems. The team in which I work is responsible for our inventory. We ensure many diverse activities are available to be booked daily. To do this, we work closely with Data Analysts, Product Managers, and those who have more direct contact with our customers and suppliers internally like our Customer Service Representatives and our Supply Operations team. Externally, we frequently collaborating with our activity operators.
What fascinates you most about your role?
Combining deep technical knowledge with entrepreneurial thinking is captivating for me. I’m constantly trying to combine the two to deliver a solution that suits everyone concerned. It feels good to use my technical know-how to make the booking process easier for our clients. It is really important to me that are customers are able to book incredible experiences on their much-deserved vacations without complications. I’m happy to contribute to that here.
What made you decide to come to Berlin and work at GetYourGuide?
Though I’m originally from Leipzig, I previously worked abroad in Italy and China, among others places. Through these experiences, I came to appreciate the international work environment. Berlin as a city is very international. So many cultures come together here. Thus, the city is a perfect match for me, just like GetYourGuide. GetYourGuide is quite international. I love the mix of people here, and I am simply thrilled to be a part of it.
